  • Roughly 850 million people worldwide have chronic kidney disease (CKD)

  • Diabetes is the leading cause (44% of all new cases) of kidney failure

  • 9 out of 10 people with stage 3 CKD do not know it

  • An estimated 415 million people worldwide have diabetes; 46% are undiagnosed

CKD and diabetes are systemic diseases that result in changes to specific metabolic functions throughout the body. While key metabolites and biomarkers have been used to identify presence of these diseases, much work remains in the effort to develop complete diagnostic solutions. In response to the Executive Order on Advancing American Kidney Health, JUNO is driving the first steps of CKD and diabetes diagnostics through metabolomics analysis of the following indices:
